The company 4Quarti was born in 2004 when Alice Roma and Damiano Fumagalli (hand to hand), Eva Lunardi (silks) e Luigi Ciotta (actor) met. Together they created the show "Pensione Splendor... una stella" which toured for three years in various Italian theatres.
Drawn by the desire to discover different approaches to their crafts, three of the original members decide to move to France. As time goes by the two Low-Norman musicians Bastien Lambert (double-base) and Simon Deslandes (trumpet) join the team.
The company begins an artistic residency at the Centre des Arts du Cirque du Parmelan in Annecy in September 2007 and takes on a new project: ‘The Three Humps of the Chameleon’. The show is staged for the first time on 3rd May 2008 at the Festival Bazar in Turin (IT)
The show is then staged some twenty more times between France and Italy. The 2008 summer tour is marked by the encounter with François Juliot of the company « Rital Brocante » e « Les Oiseaux Fous », who joins the project as stage director.
Alessio Pollutri (trapeze) then joins the company in September 2008, as temporary substitute for Eva Lunardi, on maternity leave.
Two intense periods of re-creation, in Annecy in December and Maizet in April lead to a first public presentation on 9th May 2009 in May-sur-Evre (Pays de la Loire, FR). The show preserves the original plot but acquires a new shape and new colours.
When Eva Lunardi comes back from maternity leave in September 2009, the company decides to dissolve the original core of members to pursue personal projects and continue the show ‘The Three Humps of the Chameleon’ with Alessio Pollutri, now full member.
